Nadia and Carol

Nadia Comaneci (Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej, now Onesti) Romanian Gymnast born 12 November 1961. She was the first Romanian to be awarded a score of 10 in the Olympic contest. Bela Karolyi, later Romanian Gymnastics Coach discovered Comaneci when she was just 6 years old. Her first competition was in the National Junior Championships which she was 13th place in the year 1969. In 1970, Comaneci won. In 1972, in an event for communist-controlled countries' junior athletes prior to the Olympics, she won three medals of gold. After that, in 1973 and 1974 she won the overall junior champion. She won four gold and one silver medals in her debut competition as a senior that took place in 1975. This was the first time she had competed as a senior. She was the first female to ever successfully complete reverse double saltos after dismounting from an unbalanced parallel bar. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. When she was a teen, Carol Wayne began working in the entertainment business as a performer as a figure skater. Together with her twin brother Nina Wayne she was part of a show that traveled called Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne is a American citizen who was born on September 6 1942, in Chicago Illinois. Carol started her career as an entertainer as a teen. In her early years, Carol began as a figure skater in traveling shows Ice Capades with her sister Nina Wayne. They featured ice skating shows that included theatrical performances.
