Audrey Tautou
Audrey Tautou is the youngest of four children born August 9th, 1976 from Beaumont Puy de Domme. The actress was inspired by her parents, dentist, and a teacher and both of them were teachers. They encouraged her to follow her love of acting. It was in stark contrast her earlier ambition to pursue a career as a primateologist since she was a fan of monkeys. Her meteoric rise as an actor in the young age was swift and marked by early success. In 1998 after her studies, she participated in a French talent-scouting TV programme Jeunes Premiers sponsored by Canal+ and won Best Young Actress at the Beziers Festival of Young Actors prior to launching the journey to become an actor. Tautou was a member of the church as well as the Institut Catholique de Paris during her youth, however she is now separating herself from the aforementioned societal influences. Along with her acting career she started a modelling career. It is her turn to be the face of L'Oreal Mont Blanc & Chanel and often called The Chanel Muse. In addition to her acting profession, she has an interest in photography. The actress recently showed some photos during the Arles Film Festival with the name Superficial. Her photography largely focuses on celebrity and fame, and turns the camera on the journalists who scrutinised her when she exploded to stardom in the film Amelie and self-portraits. Audrey Tautou became a star and gained international recognition with her role debut as Amelie Poulain from Le Fabuleux Destination d'Amelie. Amelie is a box office hit internationally and praised at many award festivals around the globe. Amelie has been the most financially successful film that is French-speak in the US. The following year, she was a part of British dramas including Stephen Knight's Dirty Pretty Things as well as Jean-Pierre Junet's Un long dimanche de fiancailles. Then Tautou moved to Hollywood to work in Hollywood, where Ron Howard directed the Dan Brown bestseller The Da Vinci Code.
